Macon County

Did you know 25,000 Floridians have moved to middle Tennessee in the past five years?  We must be doing something right!  We hope you will take a few minutes to explore our web site and learn about Macon County, Tennessee.   There are a lot of reasons to retire here.

Rolling Hills and Small Farms

The combination of rolling hills and small farms help make Macon County one of the most beautiful places in the world.  Macon County is located in Northern Middle Tennessee at the foothills of the Upper Cumberland.  It is centrally located between Nashville, Tennessee, and Bowling Green, Kentucky.  Nashville is only an hour's drive west, and Bowling Green is only an hour's drive northwest.

If you enjoy the Smoky Mountains of East Tennessee, just drive through Macon County in the fall.  However, what makes Macon County the most special place is its wonderful, caring and loving people.  It's a special place where people still treat you as neighbors and speak to you like an old friend.
